TARGET AUDIENCE

This course will be of interest to radiologists, sonographers and healthcare providers in fields related to the musculoskeletal system. Those without musculoskeletal ultrasound experience as well as those wanting to refine skills are welcome.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

21 -22 April:  2 day course

  2 full days of lectures and live ultrasound demonstrations.

  MSK ultrasound anatomy, scanning technique including dynamic imaging and an extensive spectrum                of pathology throughout the upper and lower limb will be covered.

  Ultrasound guided intervention including nerve blocks, trigger finger release, barbotage, dry needling,               autologous blood injection and other tendon therapy options will be illustrated.

 Focus on practical tips and techniques to incorporate into clinical practice.

23 April:  1 day hands-on workshop (limited to 75 participants only)

Opportunity to participate in 5 small group hands-on workshops in the following areas: shoulder; elbow &         nerves of the upper limb; wrist & hand; hip, groin & hamstrings; knee & quads; foot, ankle & Achilles.

 All workshops are under the guidance of experienced tutors and streamed for basic to advanced skill levels.

 Opportunity to use and compare different ultrasound machines from various companies.
