Visa Information

Important information regarding visa requirements can be found on the website of the Department of Home Affairs at http://www.dha.gov.za/index.php, while https://www.thesouthafrican.com will also assist you with user-friendly information.

A visa letter will be provided once your payment for the congress registration is processed.

CURRENCY AND EXCHANGE

The South African Rand (ZAR) is the local currency. Foreign exhange can be done at the airport as well as at all major hotels. South African Rands are available at major banks in South Africa as well as foreign exchange counters at OR International Airport and Cape Town International Airport. A passport will be required for ALL forex transactions.

All major credit cards are accepted throughout South Africa.

Yellow Fever Certificate

A yellow fever certificate is only required if you are travelling from a country where yellow fever is endemic. Please check with your travel agent. If required, please ensure you are in possession of a valid yellow fever certificate at least 2 weeks prior to travel, failing which you will not be permitted entry into South Africa.

SECURITY

We urge delegates to take care of their personal possessions at all times as the convenors nor the organisers of the congress will take responsibility for any loss or damage to any delegate’s property.

INSURANCE

All guests are responsible for own insurance

The official language of the Congress will be English
