Tygerberg Hospital is a tertiary hospital located in Parow, Cape Town. The hospital was officially opened in 1976 and is the largest hospital in the Western Cape and the second largest hospital in South Africa. It acts as a teaching hospital in conjunction with the University of Stellenbosch’s Health Science Faculty.

DIRECTIONS TO TYGERBERG HOSPITAL:

Tygerberg is located close to Parow. It can be reached by taking the Jip de Jager turn off from the N1, from where the route to the hospital is well sign posted.

The Hands-on 3D Echo Workshop will convene at the Division of Cardiology in the Tygerberg Hospital.

Directions to get to the Cardiology Department in the Tygerberg Hospital:

• Use entrance 3 on the west-side of the Hospital (Table Mountain Side)

• Use the lift in the foyer of entrance 3 and take the lift to floor 8

• From that lift you will see on the image below “You are here” (right hand side of the map)

• Follow the white route on the map to the lecture room indicated in green
