Chris Agten, Switzerland

PD Dr. med. Christoph Agten is a Swiss MSK radiologist and educator who has empowered hundreds of radiologists worldwide through his Virtual MSK Fellowship. He is a published author, a popular YouTube educator with over 28,000 subscribers, and a passionate advocate for building confidence in radiology. Dr. Agten's practical, feedback-driven approach helps radiologists master image interpretation and report with certainty.


Catherine McCarthy, United Kingdom

Dr McCarthy did her medical training at the University of Cape Town and completed her radiology training in Oxford. She undertook a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford where she currently works as a specialist Musculoskeletal Radiologist. She is regional Radiology Lead for the sarcoma, rheumatology and foot & ankle clinical-radiological services. Dr McCarthy has been the supervisor for Oxford’s musculoskeletal radiology training program for over 10 years. She is on the faculty of many educational courses and was involved in the integrated training initiative of the Royal College of Radiologists. Dr McCarthy has published widely in international peer reviewed journals and written several book chapters in the field of musculoskeletal radiology. She is regularly invited to lecture at national and international conferences and to peer review articles for a number of journals. Dr McCarthy is a member of the South African, British, European and International Skeletal Societies and sits on the European subcommittees for musculoskeletal ultrasound and tumours.



Philip Robinson, United Kingdom

Dr Philip Robinson is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist in Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor University of Leeds and Leeds Musculoskeletal Biomedical Research Centre, UK. He was elected as President of the European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (ESSR) in 2025, where he was previously the President-Elect. He has also previously been President of the British Society of Skeletal Radiologists (BSSR) (2018-2020) and Clinical Director for Leeds Radiology (2012-18).
Dr Robinson has authored over 110 peer-reviewed papers, 25 book chapters and 1 textbook. His main research interests include: sports acute and overuse injuries (particularly groin, hip, knee and ankle pain), clinical effectiveness studies as well as sarcoma imaging and management.
Dr Robinson serves on several academic and educational committees for the NHS England, Royal College of Radiologists, European Society of Radiology, European Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology and International Skeletal Society. He is a medical adviser to the European/World DP Golf Tour.
