We take great pleasure in announcing the RSSA/BISSA Breast Imaging Conference which will take place at The Protea Hotel Conference Centre in Stellenbosch on 20 – 22 June 2025. The faculty consists of international, world renowned breast imaging radiologists as well as local speakers. The selected topics will give insight and guidelines into the management of both common and challenging breast conditions encountered.

The congress will consist of plenary sessions as well as dedicated workshops. The workshop sessions will be held on 19 June 2025 and will focus on breast biopsy and MRI or Tomosynthesis.

We anticipate approximately 150 – 180 delegates to attend the conference. The target group will be radiologists, other medical specialists with an interest in breast disease (surgeons, plastic surgeons, oncologists, pathologists), registrars, medical imaging technologists (radiographers and sonographers), and allied health professionals.

The RSSA/BISSA Congress Steering Committee

The Congress Steering Committee consists of Dr Peter Schoub, chair of the Breast Imaging Society of South Africa (BISSA) and director of Parklane Radiology (Johannesburg), Dr Yethiksha Parag, deputy chair of BISSA and breast radiologist at Lake, Smit and Partners (Kwa-Zulu Natal), and Dr Paul Rischbieter, Radiological Society of South Africa (RSSA) congress chair.
