Dear African Microbiome Researchers,

The 3rd African Microbiome Institute Workshop and Symposium will be held at the Biomedical Research Institute, on the Tygerberg Campus of Stellenbosch University, on November 20 – 22, 2024. The symposium taking place on the 21st and 22nd is proudly hosted by the African Microbiome Institute (AMI), while the analysis workshop will be hosted by Separations on the 20th.

The 3rd AMI symposium will be an opportunity to showcase translational and functional research taking microbiome studies beyond descriptive analysis. Considerations for race, ethics and indigenous knowledge systems in microbiome studies will also be featured.

The symposium will feature internationally renowned keynote and invited speakers, and various research talks, poster sessions, and networking events.
